What you'll need

  • Two letter-sized sheets of card stock or heavy paper for each card
  • Scissors
  • Magic Markers
  • stick-on rhinestones
  • glue stick

How to make it

  1. 3-D Greetings - Step 1

For each card, you'll need two letter-sized sheets of card stock, or other heavy paper, in coordinating colors. Trim one sheet a half-inch all around, so it measures 8 by 10 1/2 inches. Fold the sheet in half, then mark the cut and fold lines as shown on the template or the diagram below.

  2. Cut and fold your paper as marked, bending the creases back and forth a couple of times so that the tree or dreidel will unfold easily when the card is opened.

  3. 3-D Greetings - Step 3

Draw letters with marker on the dreidel or add ornaments (we used stick-on rhinestones) to the tree.

  4. 3d Greeting Dreidel Step 4

Fold the second piece of paper in half to mark the center, then open it flat. Use a glue stick to secure the first piece to the second, being careful not to put glue on the sections that will be popping up.

  5. As you close the card, make sure the dreidel or tree pieces fold outward.
