This eggshell planter is all it's cracked up to be.

What you'll need

  • Grass seed
  • Potting Soil
  • Tempera paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Empty egg shell
Helpful Tip:

To empty an eggshell, poke a small hole the size of a pin head at each end and blow out the inside gently.

Variations:

If you prefer, you can paint the shells to look like wacky faces with green hair.

How to make it

  1. Crack the hollow egg on the small end and gently break off the pieces until you have a small bowl.

  2. Fill it with potting soil and sprinkle with grass seed.

  3. Lightly cover with soil and keep moist.

  4. As soon as the grass comes up, place in a sunny spot.

  5. When the grass is grown, paint the shells to look like flowerpots.
