Fast Frills
Total Time 1 hour Ages school-age

This cut-and-tie design uses strips of one old shirt to ruffle up another.

What you'll need

  • 2 T-shirts or tanks (one to cut up, one to wear)
  • Sharp scissors

How to make it

  1. 1 Cut skinny strips of fabric from the old tee (we used seven strips, each measuring 1 by 12 inches).

  2. Fast Frills - Step 2

Make two columns of small slits on the other shirt's front as shown.

  3. Thread the fabric strips through the holes. Tie each strip in a knot to secure it, then tie it in a bow.
