Have royalty at your fingertips with this easy-to-make puppet.

What you'll need

  • Tongue depressor
  • Felt
  • Braid or lace
  • Cotton ball
  • Paper
  • Yarn
Variations:

Create a smaller suit of clothes and use yarn to create a bowl-cut hairstyle for a handsome prince.

How to make it

  1. Wrap a tongue depressor in felt, leaving 1 1/2 inches exposed at the top.

  2. Wrap a piece of contrasting felt over that for a cape. For a truly royal look, glue on a trim of braid or lace.

  3. Glue a bit of cotton ball to the front of the tongue depressor (for the beard) and the back (for the hair).

  4. Cut out a paper crown and glue it on.

  5. Draw on a face.
