Key Chain Pennants

Kids can show their team spirit with these wearable keepsakes -- perfect for belt loops, backpacks, or gym bags.
What you'll need
- Pencil and ruler
- 4- by 12-inch strip of stiff felt (one strip makes 11 pennants)
- Scissors and pinking shears
- 9- by 12-inch sheet of self-stick felt
- Hole punch
- Stretch cording (we used Stretch Magic,1.5 mm)
- 4 mm beads (20 per key chain)
- Key clips (1 per key chain)
- Puffy paint for decorating
How to make it
Use a pencil and ruler to divide the stiff felt into 11 triangles, as shown (A). Cut two 1- by 12-inch strips of self-stick felt and trim one long edge of each with pinking shears.
Stick one strip along each edge of the stiff felt as shown (B). Cut out the triangles, remove the bits of felt from each pointed end, and punch a hole in the center of each wide end.
For each pennant, knot a 10-inch piece of cord into a circle. Thread it through the pennant hole and back through itself to secure it, as shown (C).
