With this method, young artists can festoon eggs with tangles of swirls. To create our layered look, we used several colors of embroidery floss.
Working on one area of the egg at a time, paint the surface with Mod Podge, then press on loops of one color of embroidery floss. Gently brush a second coat of Mod Podge over the loops.
Turn the egg and repeat until the egg is covered with loops. Place the egg on a chopstick or skewer in a drinking glass and let it dry thoroughly.
Using the same technique, add lengths of embroidery floss in contrasting colors, one at a time.
