This pretty little paper angel can be put together very quickly. It makes a wonderful classroom or Sunday school project. Decorate your whole home with festive Christmas crafts!
Construction paper can be used in place of cardstock. Have some fun and allow kids to decorate the paper first. If you don't have any tulle, try using tissue paper or a coffee filter to create the wings. Wood circles can be found at craft supple stores and some discount department stores.
Paint wood circle with peach paint and set aside to dry (see image). When the wooden circle is dry, dab on pink cheeks using your fingertip or a cotton swab. Draw on eyes and mouth with black marker.
Starting at the 4" end, fold up cardstock accordion style. When finished, pinch one end, leaving the other open like a fan (see image). Staple the pinched end closed.
Gather the tulle fabric in the center to create your wings. Tie the white ribbon around the tulle in the center (see image). Tie the open ends of the white ribbon together to create the hanger for your ornament.
Bend gold chenille into a halo and hot glue it to the back of the wooden circle.
Glue the wings to the back of the paper body. Glue the wood circle to the top of the paper body.
