  • Red and White Felt
  • Twine
  • Thread
  • Large Wooden Beads
  • Glue Gun
  • Fine Black Marker

    Preparing your materials

    Start by cutting a crescent shaped piece of red felt for the coat, to wrap around the body of the wine cork. You will also need a rectangular piece of red felt for the hat and a thin strip of white felt for the scarf.

     

    Cut a length of twine and comb it out as straight as you can to make the hair.

     

     

    Making the Winter Peg Dolls

    Heat up your glue gun and glue the edges of the coat together and pop over the wine cork.

    Glue the large wooden bead head onto the wine cork

    Cut a piece off the end of the twine for the fringe and glue down

    In the opposite direction glue the full length piece of twine onto the head, leave combed out or you make it into a plait also (the plait is cuter :)

  6. Tie one end of the hat with a piece of string and fold up the other end. 

  7. Pull the hat on over the head and hair, leaving a little of the fringe poke through. You can glue into position if you like.

    Finally with your black marker draw two little dots for the eyes
