This homemade 3-in-1 game board lets players take their pick of challenges, with tic-tac-toe and checkers on one side and a penny-pitching target on the other. Roll it up like a scroll and take it on vacation for a rainy-day diversion.

Fold over one of the shorter ends of the felt 4 inches from the edge and glue together the side seams to form a pocket for storing game pieces.

Use the eraser and paint to stamp a checkerboard to the right of the pocket. To make it easier, first draw 2 perpendicular 8-inch guidelines with chalk. Next, stamp a tic-tac-toe board on the face of the pocket. Once the paint dries, brush off the chalk lines.

On the flip side of the board, draw 4 chalk circles, one inside the other, to make a target. You can trace around different-size circular objects, such as a cup, saucer, bowl, and dinner plate. Cover the chalk circles with colored fabric paint and label each with a point value.

Once the paint has dried, attach a ribbon tie. To do so, snip a small slit in the end opposite the pocket and thread the ribbon through it. With the game pieces stowed in the pocket, the board rolls up for easy storage and transport.
