Snowman Lunch Bag

Looking to add a cool touch to your child's snack? With a few pieces of paper and a scrap of felt, you can transform a plain old lunch bag into something a bit more magical. This craft is quick and easy; kids can even make them on their own.

After the snowmen are assembled fill bags with popcorn, winter trail mix or any snack of choice. It's also a cute way to package gifts for teachers. Gift cards fit nicely inside the bag. *hint, hint*

What you'll need

  • Paper lunch bag
  • Black construction paper or cardstock
  • Red felt
  • Orange construction paper or cardstock
  • Round paper punch
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Stapler

How to make it

  1. Use a paper punch to cut out a set of eyes. If you don't have a round paper punch, cut out circles.

  2. Cut a 2 inch by 6 inch rectangle out of felt. Cut several short snips into one of the short edges of the rectangle to create fringe.

  3. Take black construction paper or cardstock and cut out a hat for each bag. Make the brim of the hat wider than the width of the lunch bag.

  4. Time for the nose! Cut two small triangles out of orange construction paper.

  5. Glue pieces onto bag.

  6. Fill the bag. Roll down the top, staple and glue on hat.

    Your snowman is ready!
