This craft lets little literary lions tote titles to and from the library.

Create a few different rectangular book-spine stamps from layers of corrugated cardboard taped together with duct tape.
Cover one side of each with adhesive-backed craft foam for the stamping surface.
Place newspaper (to prevent bleed-through) inside plain canvas totes, then set out foam brushes and a plate of fabric paint for each stamp.
Kids can apply the stamps vertically to look like shelved books or horizontally to look like stacks.
Let the totes dry for about 15 minutes.
