Sticker Stencils
Total Time 1 hour Ages preschooler

Egg decorating couldn't get much simpler than this method: all you do is apply stickers to your egg before dyeing to create cool shapes and silhouettes.

What you'll need

  • Hard-boiled eggs, cooled
  • Small stickers (basic shapes like circles, stars, and hearts work best)
  • Egg dye
  • Vegetable oil (if needed)
  • Paper towel (if needed)

How to make it

  1. Apply stickers to the eggs, taking care to completely press down all the edges.

  2. Sticker Stencils - Step 2

Dye the eggs, then let them dry completely, about 5 minutes.

  3. Remove the stickers. Use your finger to rub away any residue. (Rub more stubborn bits of stickiness with a drop of vegetable oil, then wipe clean with a paper towel.)
