Test the strength of the triangle by creating this tetrahedron out of toothpicks and gumdrops.

What you'll need

  • Toothpicks
  • Lots of gumdrops

How to make it

  1. Push the tips of 3 toothpicks into 3 gumdrops to create a basic triangle.

  2. Triangular Construction

    With 2 more toothpicks and another gumdrop, attach an adjoining triangle.

  3. Add more and more triangles to build a bridge or a tower -- then test its strength by seeing how many CDs it can hold.
