Kids Halloween Glow-In-The-Dark Voodoo Necklace
Total Time 1 hour Ages school-age

These glow-in-the dark Witch Doctor Necklaces are sure to fill the prescription of fun for everyone at your next Halloween party!

What you'll need

  • Glow-in-the-dark polymer clay (we used Fimo Soft clay; 1 package makes about ten 1 1/2-inch-long bones, though smaller and larger bones also work for the necklace)
  • Toothpick
  • Hemp cord
  • Assorted beads

How to make it

  1. Knead the clay; even though the label says "soft," you really want it nice and squishy.

  2. For each bone, make 4 small balls and 1 cylinder out of the clay. Squash 2 balls onto each end of the cylinder. Smooth the clay to blend your seams.

  3. On one end of the bone, use a toothpick to make a hole that's big enough for the hemp cord to fit through.

  4. Place the bones on an aluminum foil-lined baking sheet and bake them according to the package directions. Unless you're a fire troll, let the bones cool for 10 minutes so you don't burn your fingers on the next step.

  5. When you can safely pick them up, string the bones and beads on a piece of hemp cord and knot the ends to create a necklace. Turn out the lights and watch your Witch Doctor Necklace glow!
