Unlike a traditional yo-yo, this paper version won't get tangled up. Plus, every kid's an expert within minutes. To play with it, simply hold the chopstick and gently flick your wrist forward. The roll will shoot out and then retract all by itself.
Glue together three 4- by 12-inch pieces of scrapbooking paper end to end to form a 3-foot-long strip.

Once the glue dries, curl the paper by rolling it tightly around a chopstick. Then pull out the chopstick, tape it to the other end of the paper, as shown, and roll it back up in the paper.
