What It Is: Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel and Spa reopened the doors of its spa on December 17. A short walk down the path from the pool (across the from the Disney Vacation Club expansion) takes you to the renamed Senses spa. Disney has not only taken over running the spam, they did an extensive makeover for guests (and you don’t have to be staying at the hotel or even on property to get a treatment there).

When you arrive, you’ll be offered an “elixir” based on the treatment you’ll be receiving (Relax is strawberry, Renew is pomegranate limeade and Imagine is mango). After heading to the changing area for your fluffy robe and then to the waiting area, men will be able to enjoy a chocolate banana-cupcake treat; for the ladies it is a heavenly zucchini-carrot cupcake. Both have their own sauna-whirlpool room with heated loungers (if you’ve been to the spas onboard Disney Cruise Line, these will look familiar). And keep an eye out on the mosaic for a familiar Disney silhouette.

There wet rooms for body treatments and sugar scrubs complete with showers, as well as a couples room. Body Treatments (like Sweet Red Rose Anti-Aging Body Treatment ), facials (like The Purest Facial on Earth) and massages can last 50 or 80 minutes – and guests can add on perks like reflexology. Pregnancy massages are offered as part of the “Relax” program; and wedding parties can book special bridal packages.
