Here's a whimsical felt trivet that's bound to "quack" up the kids' table crowd for any party. Fashioned after Donald Duck's bright orange feet, it looks especially good tucked under a white serving bowl or dish.

Print and cut out the template.
Sandwich the sheet of double-sided fusible webbing between the two felt pieces. Then pin the paper duck feet to the stack, making sure you go through all three layers. Cut around the template so that you end up with three matching pairs of feet (two felt pairs and one fusible webbing pair).

Remove the easy-to-peel paper from the fusible webbing and then place the webbing (sticky side down) atop one of the felt cutouts, matching up all the edges.
Cover the webbing-topped feet with a pressing cloth. Use a steam iron to adhere the webbing to the felt, following the directions on package.

Now peel the remaining paper layer away from the top of the webbing.

Place three lengths of cording or string on top the webbing on each felt foot as shown (this will create the ridges in the feet).
Now place the second pair of felt feet on top, again matching up the edges. Using the pressing cloth and iron, press the feet once more to adhere the webbing to the underside of the top felt piece, and the trivet is ready to use.
