Pink Paris Tulle Wreath

Oo-la-la! This pretty, pink tulle wreath makes a wonderful, themed greeting for your Paris Party guests!

Of course, it may also be altered to suit many different kinds of party or holiday themes. Plus, it is much easier to make than it appears!

What you'll need

  • Styrofoam ring base
  • Large roll of pink(s) "wedding" tulle
  • Scissors
  • Ribbon, black or other color, for hanging your wreath S
  • Silhouette printable of the Eiffel Tower (or poodles, "Barbie," jewelry, ballet, etc.)
  • Pins

How to make it

  1. Cut tulle into several 8-inch strips (about 20 cm), or however long you like.

It may be hard to guess how many strips you'll need, so instead of cutting up your whole roll, just do several strips, tie them, and then cut more as needed.

  2. tying-tulle-tutorial

Start tying strands of tulle on the styrofoam wreath base, as follows.

First, tie a strand onto the ring with a double-knot.

  3. tying-tulle-tutorial

Then, take another piece of tulle and stretch it cross-wise from the other knot.

  4. tying-tulle-tutorial

Tie the second piece over the previous knot, so there is a double overlay for each.

  5. Continue as above, until you have covered the entire base.

If you are using different shades of pink (or other colors), alternate the different colors however you like.

  6. When the entire ring is covered, align, fluff, and trim the tulle with your scissors, making sure it has the size and shape you are looking for.

  7. Print, cut-out, and affix your Eiffel Tower silhouette to your wreath with a pin or two,

  8. Loop the ribbon through the wreath to create a hanger, pinning it in place if you like. Tie the loop with a bow to complete your hanger.

Et voila! Enjoy your beautiful, inexpensive, easy-to-make, pink Paris wreath!
