To make a dramatic floral centerpiece for your Hawaiian party, place playground sand in a glass jar or bowl, and layer colored shells on top. You can color any clean sea shells just like coloring Easter eggs or Rainbow Rice.
Tip: If you make extra, you can poke holes in them with a needle, and let your young guests thread the shells onto string, and make themselves rainbow shell bracelets!
Hollow out a fresh pineapple (or save the rind from other pineapple dishes at your luau), and place on top of the shells. Then, just add any assortment of tall, colorful flowers. Beautiful!
