This Great Cake Contest entry was submitted by bartosangela from Schnecksville, Pennsylvania: For my son's first birthday I created this simple train birthday cake using mini bread pans. The wheels are chocolate and the rest is assorted candy.
What you'll need
- Your favorite cake recipe.
- Your favorite butter frosting recipe.
- Food Coloring.
- Chocolate or cookie wheels.
- Assorted candy for cargo.
How to make it
Split cake batter into for mini bread pans, bake and let cool completely. Prepare butter frosting.
Cut one quarter from one of the cakes and stack to make the form of the front engine train. Frost all cars in desired colors.
Add wheels and decorate with candy.
