Topped with ruby red pepper jewels, this golden cheese crown makes a fitting lunch for special occasions, like a birthday or play date.

What you'll need

  • 2 KRAFT Single American slices
  • Flat bread (or flour tortilla)
  • Slice of red pepper
  • Fondant and/or cookie cutters (small and medium size rounds and a small diamond shape) or a kitchen knife

How to make it

  1. Cut one KRAFT Single American slice in half. (All the cutting in this recipe is a parent's job.) Place the halves end to end atop the flat bread and then trim the flat bread so that it is the same size as the cheese.

  2. Cut 3 semi-circle curves through the upper edge of the cheese and flat bread to create the top of the crown. A medium size round cookie cutter comes in handy for this.

  3. Cut small round "jewels" from the red pepper and place them atop the peaks of the crown. They'll fit nicely into place if you trim the tops of the peaks so they are slightly concave.

  4. From the flat bread scraps, cut a double-layer brow band for the crown and set it in place.

  5. For the finishing touch, cut small diamond shapes out of the cheese layer of the crown and replace them with diamonds cut from the second KRAFT Single. (You might want to use KRAFT White American, if available.)
