Instead of rolling out your dough on a floured surface, roll it out between waxed paper. The cookies will stay moist because extra flour is not incorporated during the rolling process.
Roll a piece of the dough into a rope 16 inches long and 1/2 inch thick. Form into a pretzel shape on a baking sheet, pressing the ends firmly. Sprinkle with sugar before baking for 12 to 14 minutes.
