Cookie Cake

This Great Cake Contest entry was submitted by boeinggirl from Rock Hill, South Carolina: For my sons 2nd B-day I was asked to bring a treat to school. His teacher discouraged me from bringing cupcakes. The kids and the teachers loved it.

What you'll need

  • 12 sandwich cookies (like Oreos)
  • 12 popsicle sticks
  • 5 oz. White chocolate
  • sprinkles
  • 13 sandwich bags
  • curling ribbon
  • 2 - 5" square foam floral
  • tape
  • wrapping paper

How to make it

  1. Place popsicle sticks in the cookies. Lay the cookies on wax paper about 2" apart. Heat white chocolate in microwave on low heat for 1 minute, stir and continue until melted. Put white chocolate in a sandwich bag and drizzle over cookies and sprinkle with sprinkles. Let set and flip cookies and repeat on other side.

  2. Put both foam squares together and wrap in colorful paper. Place the bow in the center of the cookie cake. Place bags over each cookie and tie with curling ribbon. Arrange each Popsicle cookie in the foam by pushing down lightly.
