Mix cake batter according to directions. Add whip topping powder and beat on medium high until batter is fuller and fluffy. Pour into a greased and floured 10" round pan. Heat oven to 50 degrees less than called for.
For chocolate icing, add coco powder to melted butter then add to icing. Use black food coloring in chocolate icing for a more pleasing taste. Ice cake board for ear and attach to side of head with icing.
Draw design on paper that has been cut to cake pan. Cut out design into its pieces like a puzzle. Place design on cake and trace each piece with a toothpick. This will help with drawing on the cake. To smooth icing, wet your finger with a tiny amount of water. Be sure to wipe your finger in between wetting it to remove any icing."
