Dreidel Hanukkah Cookies
What's your Take?

Your kids can't spin these dreidels, but they can gobble them up. The foundation of this recipe is the versatile dough that can be customized to create chocolate, colored, striped, or marbleized cookies.

What you'll need

Helpful Tip:

Instead of rolling out your dough on a floured surface, roll it out between waxed paper. The cookies will stay moist because extra flour is not incorporated during the rolling process.

How to make it

  1. Cut out the dreidels from the rolled-out dough and bake as directed (if you cant find a dreidel cookie cutter, make a pattern out of lightweight cardboard). When cooled, pipe one of the four classic dreidel symbols on each cookie (either gimel, shin, nun, or hay) with blue frosting.
