What you'll need

  • Yellow cake mix, eggs, water, vegetable oil, vanilla frosting, food coloring (green and black and brown), primary colors fondant (blue green, and yellow), green and yellow chocolate, edible food writing markers, lollipop sticks, crushed Oreo cookies, and

How to make it

  1. Using a flower lollipop mold create corn (8) using green and yellow chocolates. Add lining detail with food marker. Cover a cookie sheet in tin foil cover with brown frosting and crushed Oreo pieces. Make one cake in a 13 x 9 pan and cover with green vanilla frosting. Using a knife create "crop lines" on sides and top of cake. Place cake on cookie sheet. Place farm animals around perimeter of cake. Insert corn to the right of cake in rows(3,3,2).

  2. For Tractor. Bake another cake in a bread pan. Using a knife cut out a quarter of the cake. Cut quarter in half to create wheel shapes for back wheels. Once finished cake should resemble a square with a rectangle attached to the front and two smaller squares on the sides. Frost cake with frosting. Cover cake in green fondant and wheels in black fondant. Tire tread is made by using black fondant strips pressed 1/4" apart and attached with water.

  3. Cut circles (2 large and 2 small), small rectangle, and 2 thin strips of yellow fondant. Cut 2 small squares, 2 rectangles, 2 small circles and 2 L shapes from light blue fondant. Attach yellow circles to the wheels adding detail with a food marker. Attach yellow strips to engine block and label with food marker. Attach blue pieces as shown to create windows. Outline windows with strips of black fondant.

  4. Cut 1 large and 2 smaller rectangles from black fondant and attach as vents, adding detail with a knife. Attach blue and black circles to front for headlights and use small black fondant strips to create steering wheel and gear shift. Finally use food marker to signify birthday boy/girl and place a duck on top, just for fun!"
