Fruit Porridge

A delicious breakfast treat that is healthy as can be.

What you'll need

  • 1 apple
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
  • 1/4 cup nonfat plain yogurt
  • 2/3 cup uncooked oats
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 2 tbsp. sunflower seeds (optional)

How to make it

  1. Core the apple, cut into chunks and put in food processor with half the banana and the lemon rind. Process until smooth. Pour into a saucepan with the yogurt, oats and 1-1/2 cups water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Add honey and serve with the other half of the banana, sliced and optional sunflower seeds. Makes 2 servings.
