This Great Cake Contest entry was submitted by mjee7400 from Terre Haute, Indiana: This was for my son's kindergarten graduation. I placed the names of his students on the cake as well as the A,B,C's and 1+1=2. Everyone loved it!
What you'll need
- Your favorite cake mix.
How to make it
Choose the size round cake pans making sure one is smaller than the other.
Once baked, stack and ice the cakes SEPARATELY. For the hat, choose icing color that matches the graduation gowns.
Purchase plastic pillars at your local supply store and place them between layers. For top of hat roll out fondant the same color. Decorate sides and you like with borders.
