Lauren's Cup #4 Cake

What you'll need

  • 2 boxes yellow cake mix
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 4 RECIPES OF WHIPPED CREAM ICING
  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk
  • Wilton colors: red, yellow, black, blues, tans, brown
  • 1 Lightning McQueen Cake Pan
  • 1 Sports Car Cake Pan
  • 1 Jelly Roll pan 15 1/2 X 11 X 1
  • Marshmallows
  • Checkered Flags & letters for name
  • #4 candle
  • Blue Cellophane and large board
  • Chocolate sprinkles
  • Desert greenery

How to make it

  1. Mix and bake cakes according to directions. Put one cake mix in McQueen pan and one in Sports Car pan. Mix and bake another cake mix in a 15 1/2 X 11 X 1" jelly roll pan. Wrap board with blue cellophane for the sky. Cut jelly roll cake to make desert road. Ice brown and for cracks in the road use chocolate sprinkles put down one at a time with tweezers. Put some desert greenery along the road. Cut sports car cake to resemble Sally. Place

  2. McQueen and Sally on the road. Outline McQueen where necessary in black with round tip. Ice smooth the windshield in white and make eyes. Using star tip, make 95 and decorate lightning bolt. Using star tip and red icing decorate car. Make gray icing and decorate side window and then decorate the wheels of the car using star tip and black icing. For Sally, ice windshield smooth in white and make eye. Star tip red light and star tip in lighter

  3. grayblue the side windows. Star tip the remaining car in a blue that matches Sally. Star tip the tires in black and make inside wheels to look like Porsche wheels and ice in a steely gray color. Smash large marshmallows into fluffy white clouds and affix to sky. Glue checkered flags in a row and put child's name on them.
