Magical Carriage Ride Cake

What you'll need

  • sports ball pan
  • Sheet Cake
  • 4mm pearl beading
  • Carousel horses
  • wooden dowel rods
  • Mini doll pick
  • Sugar mold for carriage out of sports ball pan
  • Sugar cookie dough
  • Buttercream and Royal Icing

How to make it

  1. cut out two 3" and three 2" round cookies, bake and cool. Ice smooth and then outline spokes and rim on two 3" and two 2" cookies. Add pearls. Using royal icing make 80 drop flowers and 17 roses. Ice cake sides and top smooth. Use metal base from sports ball pan for carriage base. Ice base with royal icing and trim with pearls, place on iced separator plate at one end of cake.

  2. outline remaining 2" cookie and trim with pearls. set in bottom portion of sugar mold using royal icing to affix. Trim with pearls. Add doll pick and add stars for dress. With royal icing, assemble coach. Add ruffles to opening. Pipe scrolls and add pearls. add roses to the top of carriage and wheels to the side with royal icing.

  3. Decorate horses with icing. Position on cake. Attach pearl beading "reins". Add borders on cake and add roses and drop flowers.
