These sweet apple turnovers are easy to make from store-bought croissant rolls, and are the perfect hearty fall treat.

What you'll need

  • 1 tube of 8 croissant rolls
  • 1 apple, peeled and diced small
  • 2 T sugar
  • apple pie spice or cinnamon (as needed)

Yields 8 servings

How to make it

  1. Sprinkle diced apple with sugar and spice or cinnamon as desired. Make sure all apple pieces are coated well.

  2. Unroll croissants and put about a tablespoon of apple onto the large end of the triangle.

  3. Fold dough over the filling and place on a greased baking sheet. Repeat for each croissant.

  4. Bake in a 375 degree F oven until golden brown (about 15 minutes).
