Cupcakes, cookies, and candy in one! These penguin cupcakes are a little penguin-lover's dream come true!
To make these cute cupcakes, first frost cupcakes with white frosting. Take apart a chocolate sandwich cookie, cutting the unfrosted side in half, and placing both halves across the middle of the cupcake, with the flat sides facing down. Then, place the side of the cookie with filling on it, centered, on top of the cupcake and cookie halves, pressing down a bit to make it stick in the frosting.
Then, cut a candy corn in half and insert it into the the filling, as shown. Insert two more candy corn as the feet, and add two mini chocolate chips on the filling for the eyes.

Aren't these penguin cookies just darling? Take basic sugar cookies, and cover with a "donut" of black fondant, filled in with white, massaged a little to make a "widow's peak" at the top. Tiny balls of fondant or frosting can be used for the eyes and beak. And they are finished with thin, piped frosting for the feet (so cute!), and a red fondant bow, covered in decorative sugar (squee!).

Here's a clever hors d'ouevre for your penguin party -- penguins made with carrots, black olives, and cream cheese!
To make, first slice rounds of raw carrots, then cut a wedge out to create the feet and beak. Cut another wedge out of a large olive, and fill with softened or whipped cream cheese. Insert the wedge of carrot into a small black olive's hole, and hold all three parts together with a toothpick, as shown. So cute and tasty, too!
