Plastic Easter Eggs come off the bench for this postseason special: mini footballs filled with treats.
To make a batch for your squad, first commit some necessary roughness by rubbing the surface of each plastic egg with sandpaper, then paint them brown.
When the paint has dried, add white laces and stripes with the paint pen. Let the eggs dry completely before filling them with goodies. Tip: Create a holder for easier painting by hot-gluing 2 thumbtacks directly across from each other just inside the rim of an empty 15-ounce can. Let the glue dry, then gently squeeze the can into a slight oval shape. Slip the eggs between the thumbtacks to hold them while you paint.
