This Great Cake Contest entry was submitted by queenscreations from woolrich, Pennsylvania: I made this cake for my mom-an avid bird watcher.
Prepare both cake mixes according to packages. Poor into a Wonder Mold Pan or SS bowl. Bake. Roll balls of blue fondant to make blue bird's bodies and heads. Taper balls for top of head. Form 2 yellow cones with fondant. Stick to face. Press head into body. Shape wings and add on bird. Use toothpick to add eyes with black icing dye.
After cake has cooled, pipe green icing with leaf tip) in layers onto cake.
