What's your Take?

Scallion pancakes are a treat on their own, but this easy-to-make dipping sauce — similar to what's often served with them at Chinese restaurants — is a yummy accompaniment.

What you'll need

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated or minced fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper (or less to taste)
  • 1/4 cup chopped scallions

How to make it

  1. Whisk together the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, ginger, and red pepper, then add the scallions.
