Sugar Cookie Sled
What's your Take?

Load this edible sled with chocolate candies and let a candy dog pull it across a plate. The foundation of this recipe is the versatile dough that can be customized to create chocolate, colored, striped, or marbleized cookies.

What you'll need

Helpful Tip:

Instead of rolling out your dough on a floured surface, roll it out between waxed paper. The cookies will stay moist because extra flour is not incorporated during the rolling process.

How to make it

  1. Cut out a rectangle from the rolled-out cookie dough that is about the length of a candy cane. Bake according to the directions. Using the frosting, attach the candy canes to the cookies to form the runners. Pile the sled with candy cargo and tie on licorice to form the tow rope for the candy animal.
