This Great Cake Contest entry was submitted by cblonde2001 from San Antonio, Texas: The Pumpkin Patch was made almost entirely by son for his Cub Scout Bake Off.
What you'll need
- Just used Betty Crocker Spice cake and made mini muffins put together. The hay is colored coconut and the fence is Keebler's Honey Wheat sticks.
How to make it
Follow directions to make the Spice cake. Make a thin bottom for the grass/hay and the rest of the mix goes into mini muffin pans that you will later "glue" together to get the round shape.
Color your coconut to make it a brown color for the hay. Color some of the icing orange for the pumpkins and some green or brown for the ground. Using the icing, "glue" the muffins together to form the round shape. Use the orange icing for the pumpkins and scatter thru out the "patch". Sprinkle the coconut on the ground for the hay.
Using the cracker sticks, add them around 3 sides to form the fence.
