This Great Cake Contest entry was submitted by blkwido1 from Niagara Falls, New York: When your long and drawn out divorce is over, celebrate with a cake.

What you'll need

  • two round cakes (any size), butter cream icing, piping gel, paste or food coloring, one bride and groom (separated, pretzels for logs and a small black cauldron.

How to make it

  1. mix three cake mixes and bake your cakes. let cool and ice the bottom layer. place four small wooden dowels the height of the cake in the center of the bottom layer. Place a cardboard separator plate on top of that and place second cake on top. Ice both with your favorite icing and decorate to your desire: flowers, grass, shell boarder etc. its up to your imagination. Place caldron n top of cake and fill inside with some icing. Take your bride

  2. and groom and separate them if they are attached when you buy them. hot glue some string around the grooms waist and place a small piece of tape over his mouth. Then place him inside the cauldron fill with more icing cover with piping gel colored red, orange and yellow on top of the icing to make it look like its bubbling. Place small pretzel sticks under the cauldron and use a leaf tip to pipe tinted icing around the bottom to look like fire.

  3. Place bride on top of cake and enjoy both your cake and you new found freedom.
